It’s that time of the year again – cooler temps, pumpkin spice lattes, chunky knit sweaters and…a few extra pounds? So how do we avoid the trappings of the season and retain our slimmer summer physiques? Renowned celebrity fitness trainer Tadeo, who’s trained some of the hottest bodies on TV such as Kerry Washington (ABC TV’s Scandal) and Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives) has a few key tips to keep ”My Cyndi’s Secrets – Shhhh!” members a little more fit this fall. ….……….Psssssst! HOW TO STAY FIT THIS FALL “Top Tips To Keep You Fit and Fab for the Fall Season”

TOP FIVE FALL FITNESS TIPS   

1.) EATING: Resist the temptation to indulge in heavier comfort foods. As the days start to get cooler, substitute warmer, healthful items like soups and oatmeal – that provide warmth without the extra lbs.Screen shot 2013-10-07 at 3.33.56 PM

2.) FASHION: With the cooler temps come the tendency to wear bulkier sweaters and tops which can
trick you into eating more food than you would normally. Stick
with fitted styles that will help you to stay conscious of engaging your
abs and not overindulging.

3.)   GYM: Offset the monotony of being back in the gym by mixing up your routine – which will also boost your metabolism by shocking your body and speeding up fat burning.

 4.)    OFFICE: With fewer reasons to take an outdoor lunch, substitute taking the stairs and work in a series of squats while at your desk to keep your metabolism revved up.Screen shot 2013-10-07 at 3.35.04 PM

5.)  HOME: With more time spent indoors in general, be sure to incorporate sit-ups,
push-ups, squats, and lunges while watching your favorite TV shows.  Just
30 minutes of these can be a great substitute for all the walking we do in the
warmer months.

    I love pumpkin lattes. Now you’ve reminded me to to be careful not to overindulge. I’m lucky to live in a warmer climate so I get my walks in even in the winter.
