Hollywood’s biggest night is the Academy Awards! The town comes alive in a way that is beyond compare. Everyone clamors to get a piece of the gold – if only for a moment. There certainly is no shortage of parties, but only a handful of these events warrant “hot ticket” status. You can imagine my delight when I was invited to the exclusive Norby Walters 23^rd Annual NIGHT OF 100 STARS AWARDS GALA celebrating the 85^th Annual Academy Awards! Security was tight but your little Cyndi Sleuth was there and I’ve got the scoop! 🙂

The event occurred at the posh Beverly Hills Hotel – home of the famous Polo Lounge where major deals have been made among agents, producers and other entertainment types for decades.

  My team and I got to the hotel plenty early which gave me a minute to compose myself and take in the sun on the patio of the famous Bar Nineteen 12!

My rest was but a minute for shortly after, the carpet was swarming with celebrities and paparazzi.  Let the fun begin! Shhhh!

I was pleased to meet actor Jason Ritter who is the son of the late John Ritter(Three’s Company). Jason is a remarkable  young talent. He already has an EMMY Nomination under his belt for the role of Mark Cyr which he plays in the NBC television series Parenthood for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. Of course  Joan of Arcadia fans know him for his role as Kevin Girardi in the television series. Click the video link for our interview:

It’s always fun connecting with my Detroit Home Girl Mary Wilson! Of course, she is a legend for her work both with The Supremes and as a solo vocal artist. Many of you may remember that I met Mary at last years Academy Awards red carpet party. She is totally awesome and once again delivered a delightful interview. Most people  know Marilu Henner from the hit sitcom Taxi. She played the role of Elaine O’Connor and of course has done tons of sutff since then. She also promotes a healthy lifestyle and My Cyndi’s Secrets gives her kudos for her inspiration. Fans will be thrilled to hear that Marilu will be appearing on this Sunday’s All Star Celebrity Apprentice on NBC at 9pm/8c. Click the link and get the scoop:

It was way cool chatting with the legendary Lou Gossett Jr. He is after all an Academy Award winner for his role as Gunnery Sergeant in the 1982 film An Officer and a Gentleman. OMG! What a talent and a cool person.Below I pose with Lou.

Ken Davitian is best known for his role as Borat’s producer Azamat Bagatov in the 2006 comedy, Borat: Cultural Learning of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhtstan. He speaks Armenian in that film. Jo Anne Worley  is always a hoot on the carpet. Of course she is known for her fun spirit on the TV show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In! She also plays Nanna Banana on the TV show Jessie (Disney). My interview with her gave me a good giggle. She is awesome and ageless. Click the link and enjoy our interview:

It was so nice chatting with the forever ageless Linda Purl (Matlock) and Bruce Davison who is a 1991 Academy Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie Longtime Companion. Loretta Devine is one of those talented actresses who is constantly working and we hope she never stops. She has appeared in  films like Waiting to Exhale, The Preachers Wife, and For Colored Girls  You can also catch her currenly in the Lifetime drama, The Client List in the role of Georgia Cumming.She is simply charming and I also think her voice is very cool!
